Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all on-site technical and engineering related matters
  • Ensuring works carried out to meet company’s quality standards & contractual requirements
  • Involved in project planning, monitoring project progress and schedule
  • To co-ordinate with the clients, sub-contractors on all project aspects and when necessary, to provide all technical and non-technical resolutions followed by documentation
  • Assisting Project Manager in monthly progress claims and monthly progress reports
  • Ensuring Supervisors & Foremen meets client & regulatory work requirements
  • Ensuring Environmental, Safety and Health practices are carried out at all times
  • Propose cost-saving and innovative engineering solutions
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board Singapore is an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of Civil Engineering experience in LTA projects (Earth, Roads, Drains Works)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Project
  • Good knowledge of BIM and VDC will be a plus
  • Organised, meticulous, with positive work attitude and sense of urgency
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Immediate or Short Notice preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the successful & effective project management inclusive of planning, implementation, execution, scheduling, monitoring and handover within specified schedule, budget and meeting client’s quality and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for project budget controls, tracking of expenditures and effectively manage & reduce the costs of delivering projects.
  • Critical scrutiny of contract documents and drawings, communicate effectively & negotiate with consultants, clients, authorities, contractors on engineering, contractual matters, and project implementation.
  • Review the overall productivity and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance in accordance with all applicable & permit standards & requirements.
  • Responsible for the submission of monthly progress reports.
  • Define clear role & responsibilities and deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to all the Team members.
  • Monitor & supervise the Teams to ensure full compliance at works.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore will be an advantage.
  • Minimally have completed 1 cycle of a project with project value of $50M and above.
  • Minimum 6 years relevant project management experience in local construction industry.
  • Possess excellent leadership, planning, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills to lead a team of engineers and manage subcontractors.
  • Candidates with LTA & PUB project experiences will be an advantage.
  • Able to take on numerous challenging tasks while simultaneously meeting high standards and deadlines / vision.
  • Highly motivated, driven by excellence and having an eye for details.
  • Proficient in MS Project.
  • Able to start work on a short notice will be an advantage.

Job Description:

  • Promote zero accident culture in the company to strive group’s EHS KPI targets.
  • Ensure compliance to Corporate EHS Policy, implement actions to drive compliance and improvements to maintain Environment, Health and safety management system.
  • Review any statutory updates, identify relevant EHS requirements, prepare procedures towards achieving compliance to the new statutory
    requirement(s).
  • Lead and facilitate compliance, EHS and sustainability internal/external audits/surveys.
  • Organize and lead regular EHS inspection, meetings and monitoring of corrective/ preventive actions.
  • Ensure incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately and formally investigated and maintain the records of the investigations.
  • Plan EHS training programs to increase safety awareness.
  • Coordinate and work together with all departments, clients, and vendors/contractors to advise on all EHS related issues.
  • Work with operations team, vendors, contractors to inspect machines/equipment/processes for accident prevention program, conducts hazard identifications and risk assessment.
  • Educate and train employees to ensure safety is paramount priority of the job. Guide on compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Submission/getting approval of EHS licensing/permits required for the factory.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety /Industrial Safety / Environmental Engineering related programs
  • Minimum 10 years’ EHS experience in Singapore construction industry, LTA projects preferred
  • MOM registered WSHO, NEA registered ECO
  • Well-versed in EHS policies, experience in writing new policies for corporate
  • Attended Leadership & People Management course
  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills in managing a team of site personnel, contractors and sub-contractors
  • Strong knowledge in local Singapore statutory and legal SHE requirements
  • Ability to present a professional image and act in the best interest of the Company.
  • Able to work across all departments and functions.
  • Immediate of Short Notice preferred

Qualifications

  • Min. Diploma or Bachelor Qualification Needed.
  • At least 10 years in construction management or a related field.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferably possess a valid Class 3 and above license.
